groovender chill-pop frisch aus der schweiz, genauer aus bern, bringen uns starfrosch. ein kleines game lockert das ganze noch mehr auf, ist aber eigentlich gar nicht nötig.

mike mcguire veröffentlichte bereits im november des letzten jahres diesen schönen zwei-track-release auf bevlar. über ch:ffre bin ich darauf aufmerksam geworden, weil er dort auch erst reviewd wurde :)

wirklich loungig find ich die teile aber nicht, lounge ist ja auch meiner meinung nach eher ein kommziell vermarktetes schimpfwort geworden. die tracks sind fluffig und chillig, aber auch auf der ein oder anderen tanzfläche, zum richtigen zeitpunkt dargeboten, finden sie ihre liebhaber.

bevlar sollte man sich auf jedem fall mal in die favoriten einfügen...

km: this ep is very minimal and dark, yet i feel some kind of warmth in the melancholic context. what's the theme behind this ep?

lod: that is totally right. even though it's a dark project, there is some light on it. i always try to make a balance with this contrast, and this time, it's a bit different since i have used some sounds from really fresh and organic brazilian sounds that interact with my usual - more industrial sounds.
taskenti is the name of a plant, and the meaning behind it is that this work grows on you. you probably won't get an instant feeling. it'll take time to flower.

km: the warmth comes not only from the guitar-like sound or the pads of the first two tracks, but also from the non-melodic noise samples that are used in the last two tracks. what kind of roles do noise/glitch sounds play in your compositions?

lod: noise and glitch sounds are frequently in my compositions, but the amount of importance changes depending on which projects i work on. i would say my music is not that noisy and experimental as your question may sound. i feel more sentimental, and if i use noise, that's because i feel there is space for it without disturbing anyone's ears. there is always the difference between use and abuse.

km: all the individual sounds are quite powerful and have unique and strong characters of their own. what kind of equipment or sound sources do you use and what's the secret of putting together all those 'almost uncontrollable' sounds into harmony?

lod: i mainly work with a computer although i add some synths, and i also use some analog guitar filters and a compressor.
well, it's hard to say with words what i think and do in the studio... it's just impossible for me to explain.

km: lastly, you're currently running two labels - klitekture and sinergy-networks. i like the concept of sinergy-networks - http://www.sinergy-networks.com/sinergy.htm. has the sinergy project affected the way you operate klitekture? is there going to be your own klitekture release anytime soon?

lod: well, sinergy-networks has helped me to develop my sound and to work with different artists and sounds over this year. klitekture is my first, most loved and respected project, and i know its time now for me to release something on it. on our last compilation 'epitome vol1,' i released my first track called 'taylor' with other tracks from andreas tilliander and tomas jirku. finally, i will release my first ep after the summer called '4wd' with a sutekh remix. then, i am also thinking on releasing various eps with my sinergy remixes and other works from sinergy on klitekture.

stadtgruen präsentiert seinen zehnten stadt-release "case de verano" von gurtz. gurtz ist aus argentinien und macht dubtechno.

coole sache, denn endlich hält ja der sommer einzug und dazu passen die tracks ganz gut. und das obwohl ja jetzt die kälteste jahreszeit da unten auf der südhalbkugel ist. naja vielleicht auch deswegen... :)

mir gefällts - und ich freu mich auf die sonne!

clever music landet mit ihrem 6. release von popkan genau ins schwarze - zumindest bei mir.

ok, der mann auf dem cover ist nicht wirklich erotisch. zumindest nach meinem geschmack. aber was zählt ist die musik.

wie immer durch zufall bin ich auf das label "unfoundsound records" aufmerksam geworden. und wie es scheint, liegen hier einige perlen bereit die nur darauf warten runter geladen zu werden. in bester cd-qualität werden hier seit november 2004 nie gefundene tracks dargeboten.

ich hab mal mit der eins angefangen "goofball ep". da sind schon mal schöne schmatzende tanz-tracks drauf, die mich schon mal begeistern. die tracks wissen wo sie hin wollen und graben sich bei weit aufgedrehtem bass ganz schön in die magengrube. lecker - im gegensatz zum cover!

vom berliner netlabel a13 gibt es schon acht netzreleases die mir erst jetzt aufgefallen sind. eines davon heiss?t adios las palmas von ronald christoph. leider kommt bei mir erst beim dritten track urlaubsstimmung auf.



die ersten fünf releases dieses labels sind nicht online zu haben, aber nummer 6 "rheuma" und nummer 7 "gallensteine". lustige titel, aber wer will das schon wirklich haben? trotzdem könnte es sein, dass für den ein oder anderen ein schmankerl dabei ist :)

auf corporate identity gibt es wieder was neues zu bestaunen und zwar den 5 release mit dem lustigen namen "politically erect ep". laut labelinfo arbeitet peloton dieses mal bei track nummer eins "karol died last night" mit samples vom st. peters platz, bei "manifest" mit 90er rave-sound-samples und bei "move my body" mit darkroom-gasmasken-sex-samples.

coole idee - da muss man ja auch erstmal drauf kommen :)

in meiner heutigen radiosendung "kreislauf.fm" auf tide 96.0 geht es ab 22:00 uhr (cest) um eines meiner lieblingslabels aus dem internet. genauer gesagt über "ndorphin" aus neulingen, welches auch aus meinem heimat-bundesland baden-württemberg kommt.

ndorphin ist ein unkommerzielles net-label mit experimentell elektronischer musik. teilweise gibt es zu den releases sogar ein tolles pdf-magazin. eine solche idee ist auf jedem fall schon mal unterstützenwert und wenn dabei auch noch so geile musik rauskommt ist das ja noch besser.

regelmäßige leser meines blogs wissen es schon und alle neuen leser lade ich herzlich dazu ein, entweder meiner sendung zu lauschen, oder mal einen blick auf die ndorphin-homepage zu wagen...

ihr werdet begeistert sein... gute entspannung!

ps: die sendung wird zu einem späteren zeitpunkt noch auf bermudafunk in mannheim/heidelberg gesendet und das auch mit live-stream. genauer termin folgt demnächst...

renniac aus erkelenz ist ein youngster mit gerade mal 20 jahren. deshalb klingt seine musik aber nicht so.
