-n returns with a solo effort by andrey kiritchenko, with a palette full of rhythms and textures of the spaces in, around and between us. the first track 'spreading comets' also kicked off our release last month - we now hear it in a more personal context. the melodies that seemed brooding just last month seem less sinister in the arc of the 4 tracks. rhythm returns us to a more familiar place before we embark away from the familiar. 'scatter stars' continues the journey with a persistent meditation on the sounds around us. the melodic drone produces a wakeful dreamstate as we listen to the everyday. the dream waxes into tension as 'spread your satellites' begins with repetition that becomes drone, opening the ears to the rhythms and tones sitting just behind us. the ep closes with 'mythree,' as melodies melt into washes of noise, then rhythms, before returning to a more familiar groove and tempo. and just when we think we have made a journey, we realize that we are exactly where we began.

denn ein neuer release ist am 15.4. auf dem neulinger label erschienen. mit der laufnummer dreiundzwanzig erscheint "kind" von nengyne und reko, welche beide schon einige chillige kracher auf diesem super-label aus baden-württemberg hinterlassen haben...

bei kind gibt es jetzt auch ein tolles video, welches ihr euch auch unbedingt anschauen solltet...

«All improvised music compositions, and most instrumental pieces, are strongly illustrated by the freedom they concede to the interpreter. On 'Sitting San'??, the composers act on the work'?s structure and reflect on the notes duration or sound streams. This collective, called Frango, has Jorge Martins on guitar & bass, Rui Dâmaso on guitar & drums and Ví­tor Lopes also on guitar & drums, and they write unfinished and indefinite messages all over this release. We are not (at all) before a work that asks to be rethinked in any given structural direction. There are 5 tracks full of improvisation patterns, and they have the ability to unbalance the order therein (yeah!).

Throughout '??Sitting San'??, drone guitars humanize the process, with synapse-like and stripped down keyboards here and there, and hit-and-run drum breaks, which transports us to a creative work that is - lets say - not tonal, as if there were no laws and no dogmas, taking away from the listener the possibility to predict where the compositions are heading.

erst nach mehrmaligen hören wird dem geneigten hörer die ganze pracht dieser musik bewusst. ich empfehle die verwendung von kopfhörern. wunderbare tracks die aber eigentlich besser den herbst vertonen statt dem frühling.

unter "trommeln im dunkeln" stelle ich mir eigentlich etwas gefühlvolleres vor, aber auch dieser track mit knappen 15 minuten von "the beyonder" ist nicht wirklich schlecht. auch wenn die drums im titel meiner meinung nach etwas irreführend sind.

dark ambient würde das ganze vom stil her wohl am besten klassifizieren:

nix neues von der lounge-front. immer noch die selben schönen sounds, wie es sie auch schon zum ende des letzten jahrhunderts mannigfaltig in den regalen der großen kaufhausketten rumstanden - jetzt aber auch kostenfrei zum download im netz.

mich haut's nicht vom hocker, aber ich bin auch nicht um die 26 mb auf meiner festplatte traurig. vielleicht solltet ihr da mal selbst reinhören, denn wirklich schlecht ist es nicht produziert.

jedenfalls mal eine fette scheibe die jake hier für die geneigten hörer bereit stellt.

ein hauch glamour, ein hauch wahnsinn und ultra fette beats. ein bisschen erinnert mich das an eine mischung aus yello und eminem - was an sich ja schon mal eine ganz interessante mischung ist. auch die kooperationen auf der vorliegenden cd sind nicht von schlechten eltern. so versammelt jake hier unter anderem einmusik, lawrence (dial) und kiss kiss bang bang um mal nur einige zu nennen.

alles in allem ist das jetzt hier eine unbedingte "anhör-empfehlung" wenn nicht sogar der aufruf, einen der nächsten jake-termine nicht zu verpassen! besonders raus heben möchte ich von denen übrigens die fusion am letzten juni-wochenende auf dem flugplatz lärz.

also watch out, wenn du das nächste mal bei dem record-dealer deines vertrauens bist:
